Is it possible to pack before a visa is issued?

Yes, and it is also possible when a house has to be emptied. Your cargo will be securely stored at our warehouse. It can be shipped out according to your departure date.

When is the offer valid?

Our offer is valid for a period of up to 3 months. Due to varying external costs, it is not possible to make price adjustments for a longer period of time. External costs such as charges from suppliers and container ship prices may change. Our offer may then be subject to change depending on rising costs such as these or currency fluctuations.

When should I contact a moving company to organize my pending international move?

Advance preparation is the most important factor in a successful international move. You should begin your search for a suitable moving company to carry out your move anywhere between 8 weeks to 3 months before your intended moving date. This will allow time to get competitive quotations, make all the arrangements, organize transport, etc.

Is my furniture automatically insured during the move?

Your goods are not automatically insured. Insurance must always be arranged separately. We offer you all-risk insurance. The cost of such insurance is calculated based on the value of your goods.

Please be aware of the policy terms so that you know exactly which goods are not insured. Jewelry, money and money-valued documents must be insured separately and are subject to differing premiums. Ask your relocation coordinator for more information about insuring your goods and if you can ship valuables like jewelry.

How many employees are present during packing?

There will be 4 to 5 employees for a 20-foot container and 2 to 3 employees for containers over 10 cubic centimeters. It all depends on the amount and location.

What are the preparations before packing?

Divide what you wish to send and what you plan on storing on your end. Afterwards, prepare trash bags (bigger than 50 liters for clean up).

When should you start packing?

It will start between 8:30 to 9am on the day of your choice. It depends on the amount and location but for a 20-foot container it will be finished around 4pm. For less than 6 cubic centimeters, it will be done in the mornings while for smaller freights it will take between 1.5 to 2 hours.

Can you pack when it rains or snows?

Packaging takes place inside so that will not be a problem. If weather does affect packing, it can be delayed.

How long does it take before insurance is paid for damaged goods?

It will take about a month after submitting all necessary documentation.

How do your prices differ from other relocation companies?

There are several reasons why prices may differ. For clear comparison, we specify our offer to give you an honest and transparent estimate of the costs. Some movers charge fixed costs such as the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), surcharges, etc. and others do not. It might also be the case that specific costs at the destination are not included in the quotation by other movers. At High Relocation Worldwide, Inc., if there are additional costs, we will inform you in advance.

What is SOLAS VGM?

As per international legislation in force since April 2016, it is a requirement to weigh an empty and full container in order to provide a Verified Gross Mass (VGM). Without this VGM, a shipping company will not be authorized to load a container. For these additional activities, separate costs will be charged.

Are all charges included in the price?

If you book your shipment as a door-to-door move, then all charges including customs clearance charges, and local delivery to your residence will be included. However, you will still be responsible for any duty or tax that is raised on your shipment at customs.

Can I track my shipment?

Via your personal portal, you can follow your goods. You can log in and see the status when your goods will arrive.

Prior to your move, our relocation coordinators can determine which regulations are applicable and advise you accordingly.

How do I find up-to-date information regarding customs regulations and documentation?

From a wide variety of sources, including Customs Services themselves, industry, trade association, the Internet, and a wide variety of other sources. Nevertheless, it is impossible to guarantee the accuracy of the information provided, as customs rules and regulations, together with duty and tax rates, documentation and forms, can, and do, change overnight.

Always separate goods that are to be shipped, sold, given away and those that are to be taken with you on the plane, before the survey.
